Rosella flowers and lemon myrtle bring out the best in each other, both fermented in organic apple cider vinegar, and finished with Australian vanilla, creating a juicy and bright drink mixer.
A shrub, derived from the Arabic word sharāb, meaning 'to drink', is a concentrated syrup made from fruit, sugar and vinegar. Historically, it was a way to preserve fruit, but has persevered through the aged as a popular mixer, adding a tart, fruity flavour to beverages.
The Wild Lemon Myrtle and Rosella shrub is best enjoyed with soda water or ginger beer with fresh apples or berries to bring out all the notes. Add some tequila, mezcal, whiskey or vodka to create different drinks - each delightfully different!
