About the Book entitled “The Vedic Big Bang” : Could there be another rational cosmology theory elsewhere in another civilization before the modern Big Bang was conceived by Georges-Henri Lemaitre in 1927 CE? Yes there is. It literally exists since antiquity, in ‘chapter-and-verse’, in the book of RigVeda, encased in eons old mantra formulations under the heading of Bhavavrittam, which means “The History of Creation of the Universe”. The Vedic definitions of Time, Space and Nature (matter, energy) are superior and detailed. The Vedic references on cosmology are anterior to 5,000 years when the rich Vedic Literature was developed. The book is critical of the modern Big Bang Hypothesis that all matter of the universe, 1060 kg (60 zeros after 1), came “out of nothing” - the dimensionless “space-time singularity”. In contrast the ancient sage Kapil, in his Saankhya Philosophy stated नावस्तुनो वस्तुसिध्दि: (Naavastuno vastusiddhi), meaning - “Nothingness cannot be the cause of something” (1/43) and a Vedic dictum states: “What is being created cannot be a cause of itself”.
