This is the story about Grand Canyon solo boating, an extraordinary whitewater adventure under any circumstances. This book chronicles the author's first raft solo in December 2001 that resulted in two flips, the second of which included a lost boat and stranding on shore below Mile 207 Serpentine Rapid. He was subsequently rescued by a Park Service Trail Maintenance crew that was rafting through and reunited with his raft a day later. It also includes anecdotes from nine other solos the author successfully completed over the next twenty-one years.
